My husband and I have this protein smoothie every morning for breakfast.
It's not fancy and it's not the best tasting smoothie out there, but it keeps us full, keeps us regular (very important) and supports our training without needing much thought first thing in the morning.
The ingredient lists is fairly long and in the beginning I spent far too much time measuring everything out every single morning. Then it became part of my meal prepping. Now I pre-mix most of the dry ingredients into small jars in batches. It saves me so much time, and has made busy weekday mornings feel more manageable.
I came up with this recipe myself after quite a bit of research and trial and error. I’ll admit that in the beginning it made me feel slightly bloated, but my body adjusted. Now there’s no bloat. Just steady energy and fullness that lasts until lunch.
I’d recommend experimenting with the ingredients, especially the protein powder. Some protein powders make me feel bloated, so it’s worth finding one that works for you. I originally used Greek yoghurt, then switched to kefir, and eventually settled on goat’s kefir.
